Friday ~~ July 11, 2014 ~~ Let's talk about things that are lost...

Posted 07-11-2014 at 01:47 AM by CSD610

Things that are lost, some are helpful because you needed to lose them and other things are just downright annoying when they are lost. Keys being lost is annoying, a bad relationship being lost is helpful and good for you. Debit cards being lost is beyond downright annoying, especially when it is not the first time the debit card has been lost.

My Husband has lost his debit card yet again, we know it is with us and not out in the world because there has been no activity on the card since May 16, 2014. That however is beside the point. I have purchased a special card holder for him to keep all of his important cards in. The debit card, drivers license, TWIC Card, and other various rewards cards, as well as his Firearm Owners Card and his Passport Card. The card he needs and uses the most is the Debit Card and of course it is the one that is lost or as he tells me "It has been temporarily reassigned". I'm not sure exactly what that means because the end result is the same no matter how it is worded, the card is lost.

I have spent the last several days searching absolutely everywhere I can think of searching and no matter how many times I look in the same place it still is not there. Yes there are more important losses throughout our lifetimes however, this is just one of the more annoying losses.

Speaking of the word loss, lost and their cousins lose and loose, the way these two words are interchanged is also downright annoying. The words lose and loose are two completely different words with two completely different meanings. The word lose is defined as something you are being deprived of, cease to have or retain. The word loose is defined as something that is not tight. The example I use for those two words is "If you lose weight your clothing will beome loose". I think it is pretty straight forward and to the point and I still have people ask me what I mean when I post that phrase. I have no answer for them that they will come close to understanding since they cannot seem to comprehend the meaning when used in a sentence.

It is currently 2:28AM and I should have been in bed hours ago but I am in the midst of insomnia (Round 15,743) and insomnia is definitely winning this round. After I finish writing this blog though I am going to go and lay down, hopefully I will actually go to sleep.

My Husband went to his second post operative Doctor's appointment on Monday and it was a good news bad news kind of appointment. The good news is his arm is healing great. The bad news is his body is creating too much bone which will cause problems in the future. He was given medication to hopefully slow the bone growth but there is no guarantee that will happen. We will see in the future what will have to be done to correct this new issue.
Otherwise his arm is healing great, physical therapy has been cut back to twice a week and he can almost make a fist. Not a tight fist but a fist none the less. So, I'll keep this a bit short this time since I am actually quite tired and I would like to get some sleep before we have to drive the 100 miles round trip for Physical Therapy later today.

A few thoughts to ponder if you choose to:

What are your most annoying item losses?
Do you constantly lose items and wonder why you continue to lose them instead of making a special spot for the item and always putting it in that spot?
Do you have a special spot that you put items so you know where they are all the time?
Do you like Strawberry Banana Jello with Pineapple chunks in it?
What is your favorite color food?
Do you know where your dog is?
What words are your favorites?
Do you read many blogs?
Do you write a blog?
Did you floss today?

Random thoughts, rhyming words, all important to someone when heard.
To each his own from this day forth.
Can I find the missing debit card inside the trojan horse.
Starry nights shine so bright I wish I may I wish I might wish others a restful night.

What do you see when you watch the man in the moon watch you watch me watch him watch you?

As always I wish you restful sleep and peaceful dreams when it is time for you to wander your timbers of slumber.
