CARS are the problem.
People are "tied" to their cars.
They can live 1 block from the store, and they DRIVE there.
So people build freeways so that we could drive our cars !
And, so we left the public transit and trains.
Who needs them, when we have cars!
Once we turn 18 we're expected to have our own car;
Everyone must have their own car.
And so the cars let us explore further and further
into the wilderness, and we saw that the land was good.
And so we decided to build there.
Pretty soon, Everyone wanted to have a beautiful yard,
and a huge house, to raise a family, with a tree and a swing.
Then we built freeways, to allow people to drive from the
suburbs, to Downtown.
But rather than giving people a way to visit downtown...
The freeway became a means by which to FLEE to
the suburbs.
And they divided our neighborhoods.
Cut them off from The City's Heart.
And we drive past our beautiful downtowns
and wonder at the magnificent structures and
wonderful architecture.
Yet, when we go there, we still do not get out.
We DRIVE through.
People are connected to their CARS.
People should not be allowed to drive through
downtown.
And yes, take away the freeways,
there should only be 1.

I propose the legal Driving age should be 21. (just like alcohol)
Kids behind the wheel are dangerous.
Besides, it would be good for transit.
They can ride bicycles, and the light rail and use the Bus.
