Maybe it's Just Me?

There seems to be a lot of this in the Sarasota area and I notice it on Trulia and City Data blogs and forums.

Agents post a lot of information that is easily retrievable in the MLS or Google. For example, a recent forum question about zip codes elicited a voluminous response about which neighborhoods were in which zip codes.

Anyone can find that out.

What is always lacking is an analysis of the data, trend information based on agent experience, and opinions based on experience in working with customers.

Are agents that regurgitate raw data able to analyze comparable sales, recent trends, or compare one neighborhood's prices to another similar neighborhood?

Lengthy posts do not equate to experience and knowledge. In fact, it masks the lack thereof.
