Aquarius Male after breakup

What was it about your wife that made her special and and a keeper? Old boyfriend was Aquarius and he never said I'm breaking up with you he just dissapeared and moved on to a new girl., then years latter we came into contact with each other and said to me he regretted not sticking around, but how is one suppose to take that? If he didnt relaize back then what I meant to him, why now?:
