Although true, hunters DO eat, at least the skilled ones do, my name derives from the world of horses.
And because the word hunter is in my name, people automatically think I'm a guy. Not even close.
Whenever I meet someone named Hunter I have to bite my tongue to keep from saying "That's my name, too!"

So I'm at the dog park...

...and this couple comes in and they ask me about my dog. "Got chow in him?" they inquire.
"You guess that because of the black on his tongue? If you look up black tongues you'll see those can show up in many breeds."
"Yes" they say "but the thick black coat and the curly tail... looks like he has chow in him"
I had no good comeback but was distracted by a dog family entering. I assure them the growling is simply a grumpy trait and that he's an okay dog.
The first couple exchange looks and mutter "chow" to each other.
I whirled around and faced them "you know we're in denial. the black fur, curly tail... look at those chopstick legs. We prefer to think he has Pomeranian in him" Now I was being serious but somehow they took it as a joke, judging from the loud guffaws.
Really? They want to shatter my illusion? Why?
After a while we exited the park, dogs in tow and I called out to them "we're leaving now and taking our Pomeranian mix with us."
I think it sort of made their day. It's always good to laugh.
