hunterseat df: Hunter Seat Equitation is a division that is judged on the ability and the style of the rider. The riders can be judged both over fences and on the flat.

Although true, hunters DO eat, at least the skilled ones do, my name derives from the world of horses.

And because the word hunter is in my name, people automatically think I'm a guy. Not even close.

Whenever I meet someone named Hunter I have to bite my tongue to keep from saying "That's my name, too!"

I can certainly get caught up in CDF! But I've taken the week off. It's nearly 10am and I'm still in my jammies.
I spent Sunday visiting my mother for the first time in years. She is very old. I was allowed about a half hour there, then that afternoon I attended my step-father's memorial. He was a WWII vet and was in his 90's so he escaped death and disease. Growing old is a victory in my book.
At the memorial I got up and spoke about the time I was a teenager and went with my step-father to cruise timber. After it was over my mom asked me what my name was. Then she asked if I had gotten up and spoken because she didn't know who I was. It was strange but I know she's a recluse and the extra stimulation of the crowd and the noise and the strange place (not to mention sitting next to a grave stone with her name on it) really knocked her off balance. Once inside the vehicle to leave she became herself again and spoke to me about how awesome my sweetie is and my kids, one of whom was there with his wife.
Then my step brother walks over and asks: Is your mother here? And I asked if I was at the right funeral. It was all very surreal.
So I came back to Atlanta and thought about going back to work early. Naaaah! My garden needs weeding, my windows need curtains and my adventure into vegan eating is looming, awaiting my meal planning skills. (wish me luck)
