At What Age?

Posted 04-28-2014 at 09:33 AM by Fortoggie

At what Age? A man I know, is high up in a multi-national company and is always recruiting managers for his local offices. The last 3 years he has traveled a lot in other countries and has come to realize that his managers there are, on average, several years younger than here. Two months ago he commissioned a study to find out at what age the average American is willing to accept responsibility and to be able to carry on with a minimum of supervision. The results came back last week and no surprise to me, the age was about 30; about eight years later than many cultures. This late arrival impacts our whole society.
Then I ask the question that I usually do; what should the church be saying to this issue? What can we do to challenge young people to become mature, to grow up and meet their responsibilities?
