Fear of flying

My heart goes to both the victims and their families. I can't even begin to feel what they must have gone thru their last few moments on this earth. Were they already gone whe the plane crashed into the ocean? What does a parent go through when they're sitting next to their child and know both of their lives is going to end soon? Or to think that your never going to see your loved one?
I've always been afraid of flying and of height. This news makes it a lot harder for me now. I'd rather die in a car crash than a plane crash. I think I'll have a heart attack if I feel the plane is going down.
Any time we would go to amusement parks, I'd avoid a ride with any kind of free fall. That's how afraid I am of falls. It's crazy.
