On call and my faith tested

Posted 03-09-2014 at 10:35 PM by nooshb

Since I'm on call the weekends that I work, I can potentially get calls any time of the night. It hasn't been that bad, but last night, of all nights that we lost an hour of sleep because of daylight savings, I get a call from a nurse for the stupidest reason. He had a question about multivitamin. Seriously?? Aren't these calls reserved for emergencies ? He wakes me up from a deep sleep for that?? Some people lack serious common sense.
It takes me about 2-3 hours to go back to sleep and then I drag myself to work for a ten hour shift. It was another busy day but fortunately, I didn't feel tired all day and it went by fast.
I'm off till Wednesday . Hurray!!
It's been a hard few years for me since I left my house and my life back in Texas. I have not been able to find a place that I can or want to settle down. I remember the saying that god has created us in his image. Maybe sometimes I would want to test the faith a loved one has in me. And if they lost their faith in me, how would I feel?
This is the time, I need to keep my faith in the almighty. Be patient and trust that everything will turn good at the end. This is called true faith.
