Think Unemployment Benefits will be Extended into 2014?
I have to call BS on this. Who doesn't have a phone in today's world? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on the internet but it's still an easy fix... you go to the library or some other public access facility.
I was gone post the same but said not to bother. Most of us are not in such dire shape, we have families and friends that would help us through , but the fundamental issue is where is our government when we need one? Isn't this why governments are made for? To serve and to assisist . ?

Government is supposed to only serve us, not control us. The American people are still capable of helping one another when there are real needs. It's "We The People" that come through for others every time.

It does not look like Unemployment benefits will be extended thanks to Mr. Boehler. The reasons that he gave such as the staff would be over worked getting the funds out, it would affect their regular work load. I am surprised that there has basically been no coverage about it in the news for months. The unconcern and callousness of some of the comments. It is well known that there are less jobs than candidates and that companies are pushing older employees out.

It is hard to witness as many people who have worked all of their lives are going bankrupt, losing their homes after being laid off a few years prior to retirement only to hear one person say if it is extended it will encourage them not to look for a job. These people have worked all of their lives and are losing everything. It appears more money is being sent to over seas. I am for charity, but always heard that it begins at home.
