Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.![Stick Out Tongue](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!
Regards,

A Sloppy Joe Would Sound Good Right About Now
Posted 02-25-2014 at 04:41 PM by case44
Someone on the Food forum brought up a little reminiscing, if you will. The subject at hand is the Sloppy Joe. The person who brought it up mentioned the Sloppy Joe the way it should be remembered, and that was back in elementary school. For some of us, it was among our favorite selections for lunch. For other students, it was the favorite.
No, I've already eaten as of this writing, but at least, I'll have an idea of what to get for next week's supper shenanigans.
It's been too long since I've had a Sloppy Joe, and here comes yet another itch I've got to scratch. Oh, I've made a few in the last couple years, but dadgum, we're long overdue at the ever-humble Case abode. The Sloppy Joe sandwich. You know what goes in them, and I don't mean "mystery meat". Got to get some reality ground beef
and that Hunt's Manwich sauce with all the good stuff that you just have to have in a Sloppy Joe; I mean, I can't help it! So, this writer will need to wait a few days before I can get the buns, beef, Manwich, and so forth, but it's worth thinking about. You have to wonder, as you're reading this chickenscratch, "What's Ol' Case going to do to get his mind off of that Sloppy Joe craving"?
He's going to go to his kitchen and................
............grab a couple of slices of chocolate-frosted yellow cake.![Big Grin](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Look, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

Well, I've got the grub I need for the Sloppy Joes. Might do all that this weekend.
