Ideas are powerful!

While reading some history about Teddy Roosevelt, I came across some reforms he wanted to implement throughout the states and the cities. These were to [1] promote the general welfare. [2] To prevent the extortion of the public from large corporations. [3] To protect public health. [4] To extent education to as many as possible. [5] Eliminate undeserved poverty. [6] To work to bring about equality of opportunity. Undoubtedly these goals and ideals have had many setbacks but still over the last 106 years they have challenged our better angels to work in that direction.
