Sunday ~~ February 2, 2014 ~~ It is Groundhog Day and Super Bowl Day and Kitten Bowl Day and........

Posted 02-02-2014 at 09:42 PM by CSD610

It is several days today all in the same 24 hour time frame.
First, foremost and oldest is Groundhog Day and I have no idea if Phil saw anything today but I do know I missed the Bill Murray movie that is stupid but I do enjoy watching it every few years.

Next is Super Bowl, Kitten Bowl and Dog Bowl and I watched none of them. I did make a bunch of party food that is traditionally prepared and served for the respective bowls however, we did not have the television on.
We did have guests so we were more interested in visiting with them than watching television.

I did not get everything made today that I had planned but plans got changed yesterday and everything was delayed and I had to play catch up today and that never goes well when you have guests coming over.

The chicken, fish, raw veggies and pizza turned out fine. The pasta not so fine this time and I did not even attempt the tortillas. I was rushed and did not allow the pasta to dry long enough and I did not have near the flour I should have after it was mixed and I was rolling it out before it dried so I could cut it. Not a huge issue and definitely a learning process using the new attachments for the KitchenAid. So I will try again tomorrow, slow down, add more flour and hopefully get it right or at least edible.
Anyway, tomorrow is another day and I have plenty of flour, yeast, eggs and water.

I discovered a new to me beer over the summer while we were camping and I am quite please with it. I am not a big alcohol drinker and will have a couple anywhere from a few months apart to a few years apart. Tonight I am having a beer and it is good and cold and I am enjoying it very much. It is Micehelob Ultra Amber and it says on the label it is a "Superior Light Beer". I don't worry with all that stuff because I don't drink often I am all about flavor when it comes to beer, wine or food.
This beer is to me an Amber Ale and it is very good but I won't have another tonight.

I am currently having a bit of a panic/anxiety attack at the moment.
I am out of cigarettes and I have not been out of cigarettes for about 15 years now but that really is not the complete issue. I am voluntarily out of cigarettes but I do have the blue ecigarette which I just started full time today. The panic/anxiety comes in because I know I am out of cigarettes.
It is an entirely different world as of today for me and my smoking addiction. I have nicotine in the form of the blu ecigarette, I am not having cravings, withdrawal or anything like that because I am out of cigarettes but I am having this whole panic/anxiety thing because I am out of cigarettes. Does that make any sense at all? It is the mental part of getting past the panic that I am physically out of cigarettes.
If you are not a smoker you may not understand but this is tough and it is actually one of the hardest parts of quitting a cigarette addiction even though I still have the nicotine I am physically out of cigarettes.

It is currently 10:00PM where I live and I am honestly exhausted. I did not want to get up this morning and I did put it off until I absolutely had to get up. I forced myself into the shower, dressed and into town just to force myself into the grocery store. I normally love being in the grocery but today it was just a chore. Then another stop then finally home just in time to have about 1.5 hours before our guests arrived. It was a stinking madhouse around here and the point is I am exhausted.

I am going to finish my beer, finish the blog and have a few more drags off of my blu ecigarette then I am going to bed. It is just a necessary part of being awake, living life, getting things done and socializing. At some point you have to rest, relax, recharge and sleep. Some humans require lots of sleep and others not so much. Some have sleep issues like me and others do not. Having sleep issues is not a good thing on any level. Things are worse though when one has other physical issues in addition to the sleep issues. Oh well, life does not stop moving forward actually I should say time does not stop moving forward just because I get sick, have sleep issues or have an Auto Immune Liver disease that cannot be cured.

Anyway, I am rambling now because I am so tired and I am having the panic/anxiety issues because I am physically out of cigarettes so I really should just go to bed and try to gather my thoughts completely inside my brain tomorrow.

Do you know I have not actually physically washed my only ashtray for about 10 years.
Yes, I said it, TEN YEARS, needless to say it is pretty gross and it is going to take a while of soaking and scrubbing if I decide to go ahead and wash the thing. Before anyone gets all ooey gooey let me state that I do not have 10 years worth of cigarette butts in my unwashed ashtray I just have 10 years worth of unwashed ashtray. The cigarette butts have been disposed of properly and most of them have been put into the burn barrel and disposed of that way.

Since I have rambled on most of this blog I think I will leave you with random thoughts, questions and other things for your consideration.

Do you have 10 years worth of dirt anywhere in your home?
Do you plan on letting 10 more years worth of dirt gather in the same spot or are you going to clean it at some point?
Do you drink beer? If you do drink beer is it because you like the taste and could drink one of the non alcoholic beers or do you drink beer to get drunk?
Do you like baseball? Which team is your favorite?
Do you like football? Do you know what Soccer is? Have you ever been to a cricket match?
Do you know why someone yells "Marco" and some else yell "Polo" in a swimming pool?
Do you know what "ooey gooey" means when one is not talking about caramel apples or icing on cinnamon rolls.

So there are your random questions to ponder if you choose.
As usual I wish you all you deserve in your lifetime. Rest well and dream peacefully when it comes time to wander your timbers of slumber.

Seems like it was Everything Day. Phil sez six more weeks of winter (Yes, he saw it....). After two early springs in a row, I guess we were due for a dose of reality.
