People Who Will Receive Eternal Reward And Punishment In Light Of Quran
Islam is a religion that gives the concept of eternal reward and punishment to its follower. In Islam those who do good will be rewarded by Allah Almighty and those who do not live the worldly life according to the instructions of Allah The Great.
For those who do good in worldly life and follow the rules and instructions of Allah Almighty, there is the reward of Paradise, whereas those who disbelief and do not live life in the way the way they are supposed to live, for them there is eternal pain in hell. The lines below give ayahs of Quran that explain the reward and punishment in the afterlife.
Allah says in Quran:
“And give good news (O Muhammad) to those who believe and do good deeds, that they will have gardens (Paradise) in which rivers flow.” (2:25)
In this ayah, Allah tells of one of the rewards that the dwellers of paradise will receive, and that is of gardens with different types and kinds of rivers flowing through them. Although the rivers and gardens are something which none has seen in this world, but the greatest benefit of being in paradise will be that one will enjoy all these blessings eternally.
For disbelievers, Allah Almighty says:
“If you could but see when they are set before the Fire (Hell) and say, ‘Would that we might return (to the world)!’ Then we would not reject the verses of our Lord, but we would be of the believers!” (6:27)
This ayah explains the reaction of disbelievers on the judgment day when they will be pushed to hell. At that time, they will scream and beg of another chance so that they could go to the world, be a believer and do good, but at that time it would be too late for them.
In short, the dwellers of Paradise will enjoy blessings and mercy, whereas dwellers of Hell will experience pain and anguish eternally.
