2014; Time to Move !

Posted 12-23-2013 at 06:23 AM by Fortoggie

The economy is set to go, according to many economists as we come to the end of 2013. All year the two Interstate Highways near my home has been packed with semi's loaded to the gills with merchandise. Banks are loaning again and the big companies of America have over 10 trillion dollars in reserve just looking for a place to use it.
How will that help me; you may ask. Let's face it,all that money and prosperity may not filter down to you and your family unless you do some of the smartest thinking you have ever done. The whole economic system works to keep the money in the top one thirds hands. By now you must have figured out that the trickle down system doesn't trickle all the way down.
If you expect to get your share you may have to figure out how to shake some of that money loose and let it fall into your coffers. To start out, you must personally think of ways that you can attract more good will as well as more money to yourself. Next you will need to have some talks with your economic team; that would include your wife or husband, your children, maybe even your in laws. Folks around you need to know what are thinking and what your plans are so that they can either help or get out of the way.

1. On a personal note you can determine to look the part of success; no tattoos, hair cut to impress and not to repel and clothes that place you just one notch ahead of what your co-workers are wearing. Live a lifestyle that is healthy and that will keep you vigorous all year long. These steps you can do on your own, it's a free country.
2. If you must work with others to put pressure on a company to pay more in wages, do so but be careful; the powers that be are not reasonable nor rational. If you get fired are even laid off for a few days it will interfere with your plans to have a prosperous year.
3. There are enough points to make about improving one's lot in life to fill a large book but this gets us started. What I think would be fun is to have you step in and tell us what you are personally going to do and how you will go about it. Remember you will be under a code name on here so you can speak your mind. How will you go about getting a raise? How will you get more hours? How will you cut corners so that you will have money left over at the end of the month? We could have fun and make this one blog last all year.

Just by raising the questions above; you can see that it is not easy to change one's lot in life. It takes patience and a plan. If you work for a fast food chain or a retail chain and millions do, you can be pretty sure that no one in higher management is spending much time thinking about your future. Chances are they want you to stay right where you are in the scheme of things.
If you have energy and vision you might plan to do part time lawn mowing this spring and summer. If you are a woman you might pick up a house cleaning job on the side.
You must find a way to wiggle out from under the limits that your low paying job puts on you.
Just a little extra income gives you more choices and of course puts you in contact with other people. Sometimes you have to widen your contacts in order to increase your opportunities.
