Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.![Stick Out Tongue](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!
Regards,

Winter's Early Arrival And The Ice Scraper Caper
Posted 11-24-2013 at 06:29 PM by case44
It wasn't supposed to look good. That's the way the forecast ran until more revisions were brought forth from the National Weather Service. As with any other storm, it only depends on where you'll be when it goes through. Some will get rained on really good, and others, not at all. Problem is, we haven't had a storm where I am. It's just been a trickle.
Rain and sleet. Sleet. Sleet mixed with snow.
Just a trickle so far.![Think](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/think.gif)
So, it's cold outside? Big deal. Forecasts are still calling for a storm to pass through between now and tomorrow night (That's Monday the 25th as you read this
). Not a trickle, a storm. We'll just see about that. I haven't had to use my ice scraper since all the hype began this morning, and it didn't happen coming off of work. They're still talking about ice for my early morning commute. Such can still be possible, but so, too, can the opposite. In the meantime, I won't know for sure until just right before I leave the Case abode for my workplace. Did Old Man Winter leave his leaf blower at the North Pole on his way to the South?
I'm just thinking about Thanksgiving dinner right now and making my Christmas list, with spring on my mind.
Want to bet that my ice scraper will have not been used again by 6 a.m. in the morning? I'll follow up with you in the comments below, but for now, you stay warm, gentle readers.
