Fall Festivals; Time to Get Involved

All across the country, good times are about to happen. Fairs and festivals and tractor pulls, you name it they will be there. If you are young and a blue collar worker, this is your chance to shine.
Maybe you have been going on a Sat. or Sun. afternoon as a way of being entertained. Instead think of it as a way to impress, to shine and the show off your family. We have all been there and seen just how sloppy some people dress, even the kids look rag tag. This time be sure everyone looks as good as possible.
It's almost certain that someone there will see you and know you. It could be your boss, even his boss but it will probably be the first time they have seen your whole family together.
Even better, find something to do in the festival, be a gatekeeper or someone who keeps the fire going at the BBQ. This way you will increase your chances of being seen by a hundredfold. The point is that all of us need to be our own PR agent and we need to be aware of which events helps to show us off, in a favorable way.

It's definitely that time again, Fortoggie. The State Fair of Texas kicks off in about two weeks.
Texas and OU will have their annual football shootout on that third weekend. We'll have a lot of people breading and deep-frying everything anyone can get their hands on.
