Teen Pregnancy

Most girls I know see pregnancy as some new adventure. I have met girls who think a baby is like an toy. You can dress the baby in cute clothes, get attention, ect.
However, that is not the case.Parenthood is the leading reason teen girls drop out of high school.Less than 2% earn a collage degree by age 30.
Another shocking fact is 25% of those teens have their second baby within 24 months of conceiving their first. Most of the time, the teen father will not marry or support the mom or child. (8 out of ten dads leave)
I've heard from teenagers that they can have a epidural and not feel anything. I've even heard encouragements of birth doesn't hurt. Giving birth does hurt. My son came natural and trust me it hurt.
Some teens I know think pregnancy is like what they see on T.V. They'll have cute tummies and friends forever and all that nice things plus rainbows.
In reality, you'll be throwing up, having swollen ankles and crying when you see a llama. (That's what I did.)
I had my son at 21 years old. He was born in March. My husband(24 years old) and I have trouble taking care of him at times.
Babies are expensive and a handful. It's nothing like you see on t.v. I am not trying to be offensive. There are some young women out there that can take care of babies at a young age.
However, live your lives first. Don't you want to walk that line to get your diploma. After graduation, get your first kiss. Take your time and fall in love. Find the one you want to spend forever with.
Before you know it, with how time flies you may one day be a mom. Just live life with no regrets and love with no regrets. Raise your children with that love and show them a bright future.
You can give a bright future, just wait...![Embarrassment](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/redface.gif)
This was not meant to offend anyone. I wrote this for a 14 year old girl wanting to have a baby. She reads my blogs. She knows I love her. Maybe this will help other teens too.
