Driving through WV and Virginia (coming from Ohio) to North Carolina, where is the best place to stay (hotel)?

As previously mentioned, you will have no problems driving I-77 WV if you follow the posted speed limits. People have misconceptions that WV = bad curvy roads. Many, many WV roads are much better driving than Ohio roads from my experiences.

I agree about the I-77 speed traps after the tunnels down to Wytheville.
Thank you very very much for your reply.

If we leave earlier, we might try to make it down to beckley WV. Do you think it's ok to drive till there around 7 or 8pm?

Thank you again
