Legally Blonde

Posted 07-26-2013 at 03:01 PM by Fortoggie

Last night, my wife and I went out for dinner with 19 of our friends and after dinner, went together to see the live play; Legally Blonde. Chattanooga has a good live theater that seats about 500 people and last nights play was sold out. The theater has an 83 year history and is well thought of among theater goers.
There were about 18 young, talented girls on stage with 7 men also in the cast. As a musical, Legally Blonde, requires a lot of vocal talent and it was top quality with the latest in headsets to carry the sound to the farthest reaches of the of the theater.
I am always fascinated to see so many costume
changes and the ability of the directors to develop the characters and mature them on stage. The cast started out as 18 year olds and grew into college graduates right before our eyes.
The scenery was beautiful all around the theater, with a good view
of the Tennessee river and of people walking across the walnut street bridge. Across the river was the aquarium and to it's right the museum perched on the cliff.
Shops along Frazier avenue offered all kinds of food and lots of entertainment of one kind or another. Chattanooga has gone through a revival in recent years which makes it a top tourist draw for the mid-south.
