Seeking Divine Help with Patience and Salaat / Prayers.

Peace be on you. To seek God’s help requires patience and praying. It is not easy. Holy Quran tells the way to achieve it: ‘And seek help with patience and Prayer; and this indeed is hard except for the humble in spirit, Who know for certain that they will meet their Lord, and that to Him will they return.’ (ch 2 : v 46 and 47)

On the path of seeking pleasure and blessing of god, believers have to be humble to begin with. Humble believers acts on all commandments of God. It further fills the believer with more humility. The person who leaves humbleness shows arrogance which is a great sin.

All Prophets of God taught humbleness. Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) excelled in this attribute too. Despite of his highest status, he was extremely humble human being. Once his servant was asked how Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.) treated him. He said that the master served him more than he served the master. Once a man started to get perturbed by the presence of Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.), he told him not to be worried; he (p.b.u.h.) was son of an ordinary lady. When people of city of Taif denied his message of One God and human rights and injured him, God gave him choice; had he wished, the city would have been crushed between mountains. But Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.) prayed for their guidance. This humbleness is lesson for followers in treating people and in worship.

Seeking help of God with patience requires the seeker should be loyal to God, bear all hardships without complain for His sake with complete satisfaction, trust on Him and remain steadfast in practicing His commandments.

The above mentioned patience is attached with falling prostrate at the threshold of God. The best way is regular Salaat (five daily Prayers and Tahajjud) and other prayers which one can do all the times.

As the verse tells, these acts are not easy. The same verse tells believers to turn to God for help ---- the help to show patience and help to offer Salaat. It also means that turning to God can best be learned by following Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.) : ‘If you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you…….’ (ch 3 : v 32)

Believers seek forgiveness and cover of God if they have committed any error.

Quote:
....the seeker of salvation should trim down his uncontrolled, refractory self through spiritual endeavours to such an extent that he can pass through the eye of a needle. As long as the self is corpulent with worldly pleasures and selfish desires it cannot pass through the sacred path of Shariah and enter Paradise.
