What to Do, What to Do?

Posted 04-08-2013 at 09:34 AM by LookinForMayberry

My first week off work was a nice blend of activity, getting caught up on things that had been bugging me that I didn't have time to do when working. We took some outings with Bigun -- and a hike caused havoc with my back and hip.

Still, that was okay, because it gave me a reason to sit and finish knitting that second mitten -- now tucked away for the next cold season. I also sewed up the crazy quilt block for this month's embroidery. I even read! I have not just one, but two books in progress, fiction and non-fiction.

Now that I am caught up, my back and hip have relaxed, and I have time to play, DH is sick. It's raining -- it's been raining for days. We are sick of looking out the window at it.

But, that's okay because it gives me time to -- what? Read more? Embroider more? I started a crochet project to make a plastic bag holder for the pantry, and could work on that?

None of the options seem right.

Is this my message to "Be Still and Know God"? Probably. Why am I so focused on doing stuff, anyway? What drives that? What, indeed?

Arrgh! Busy, busy, busy! Why must I always be busy, in my head if not with my activity? Why ask why? Stop it!

Okay, maybe I will just go walk Bigun. It doesn't seem to be raining right now...
