Hi All and thanks in advance for reading and replying ![Wink](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
We are intrested in relocating to the Cary area and could benefit from some insider advice. We are a family of four, our children are 10 & 13. Needless to say, education is very important and have done research on the Wake County Shools and understand somewhat how they work. Specifically, what we are looking for is strong community involvement/HOA, tree lined neighborhood, private 1/3 acre minimum, 4 plus bedroom home. We do not want to spend more than $600,000.
We have spent time in Lochmere and McGregor and love the lakes, the mature trees and the meandering roads. However, considering the kids, the educational component and the accesibility to a variety of stores/activities I am wondering if we should concentrate our efforts in Northern Cary and Apex. Considering the ages of our impressionable children, who are on board with the move, living in a community with lots of children is key. Is South Cary to " old " for our kids? My children want to be living and playing with other children.
