Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

Just when I think I can wear good, new clothes and make them last a long time, it never fails that my office's management team orders food at work, and shortly thereafter, an uninvited guest would walk into my life. And, no, it isn't those previously-mentioned pesky gnats....

The funny thing is, I don't remember what it was that I ate that day, as we've ordered so many things in the last two weeks. I do know this: The visitor is a grease stain, and it resides within the threads of one of my newest casual shirts which I wear for work. Dadgummit! It never fails that I'll eat something that occasionally squirts grease, and it winds up landing in the wrong place. I should have taken it to the dry cleaners first rather than try to ......... dare I say......... Shout! it out, right?

Tried it. ... Didn't work.

And then I took the shirt to my closest dry cleaners. Guess what? Stain is still there. Will I give up on this nice shirt? Never. This will no doubt turn into a never-ending quest to get rid of that pesky stain once and for all, so long as I don't do any more damage to a really nice, purple-striped shirt which happens to be a big hit with some of the ladies in my workplace. Your ol' pal Case has ways. I'm determined to make this happen.

So, next time at work, I guess I'll wear my kitchen apron....

ROTFLOL... I have a lot of shirts with 'grease stains' on them, and I wear them to exercise sessions.

My Wife is horrified that I do, but, I tell her that those are 'character stains' and that it means I am 'well fed', and since people wear pants with stains of paint and everything else on them, I wear those shirts with pride!!

I had a boss who wore a cowboy hat with a grease stained brim and we kept telling him he had to wash it, but, he kept saying that was 'character stains', and we laughed at him for it... now, I know what he means, you dont want to get rid of something that 'fits so well', and you love it no matter what the flaws it has and wouldnt part with it for the World.

Enjoy the 'character stains' if you cant get them out and join a gym

    I wish you well...
