Do we have to complain?

Posted 11-13-2012 at 08:42 PM by Assoupe

It is about 9:30pm, and I am thinking of my day and the next to come. I am feeling really tired and have so much to do, but not enough time, so I complained about all. I can hear the wind blowing outside and a sirene. Then I took a moment and thought about those in the hospital beds, those that whish that they were employed, and so on. Why can't I be happy for what I have? Let it be.

Indeed. It does seem that our first inclination is to find fault, with our circumstances, ourselves, others. I think of that as our nature -- not, as some say "human nature" but our base nature, or animal nature. Our "human" nature is to go the next step, as you have in your blog post. The next step is to think about others that have it worse, or how we could have it worse. Then, the succeeding step is to praise this moment for what it is, followed by adjusting our attitude to welcome each successive moment for what it brings.

I am glad for your increasing awareness of your humanity. It bodes well for all of your coming moments. Good for you.

Sometimes I like to complain when Im alone, just to reassure myself of things that have to get done that 'will' get done.

if someone hears me complain, they tell me to quit talking to myself, to which I reply, "Im not talking to myself, Im thinking out loud"... (Reason I dont complain around people, cause they dont understand my point of reasoning and my verification that all things will get done in its due time, if nothing gets in my way, like distractions from those who want to help LOL).

Complaining is good for the soul, every so often, as it gets you motivated and points you in the right direction of where you want to be and go...Just dont let everyone else hear you.

    I wish you well...
