Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Affirmation: I see myself with victory. I visualize where God wants me to be. Then, I act as if I am already there.

Only after you say "yes" to Jesus (and your spirit begins to communicate and fellowship again with the Holy Spirit) can you start the journey of fulfilling all the destiny God planted within you before you were born. - Myles Munroe

"Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord." - 2 Timothy 1:2

As a father cares for his child, so our Father in Heaven cares for us. As we reflect the Father's heart, we will have that same care and love for those who surround us. When we take ownership of the family of God there is another measure of grace that is released in our hearts to DISCIPLE and help others to be who they are in Christ. - John Belt

As we refuse to allow seemingly unending pressures and difficulties to hinder us, we rise above or overcome them and "press toward the mark" into our destiny. - Wade Taylor

Journaling will help you mature in your prophetic gift. Write out what you believe the Lord is saying and then verify it by studying out the Scriptures. Look back over your journal and meditate on what the Lord has revealed to you. - Patricia King

Affirmation: My speech demonstrates the power of God's Spirit in my life.

When God speaks to you and me, His word is conceived in us. What we must do is embrace it (not analyze what He says) and then the manifestation will follow. - Steve Sampson

We have the strength to cast off the burdens of downcast souls and supernaturally believe the impossible to be possible. Strength and might comes when we usher in His presence. - Keith Miller

"We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us." - Philippians 4:13

We must open our innermost selves to the fire of God's presence. This is how -- with our whole being, mind and might -- we can begin to issue out to those around us the living flames of love. - John-of-the-Cross

As you read the Scriptures, rather then expecting to gain mere information, answers to your questions, or "proof texts" to make a point, listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit to take the word on the page and deposit them into your heart as a personal word for you. - Bill Johnson

Affirmation: The growth of my faith is not like the growth of natural things that have built-in limitations.

A man's darkest hour is not when he commits a dishonest or dishonorable act. It happens when he refuses the invitation from the Lord to lay aside the desire of the world and come into the King's chamber for fellowship. All of heaven grieves when God's call is taken for granted. - John Bevere

Why is it necessary to move from glory to glory? The reason is because in every season of glory, we experience a new order that God brings to our lives as we mirror His image to a greater extent. - Chuck Pierce

"And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him and reflect His glory even more." - 2 Corinthians 3:18

Behold, it's time to stop hiding behind walls of fear (What if such and such happens?); it's time to stop hiding behind walls of doubt (It'll never happen); it's time to stop hiding behind walls of disappointment (It didn't happen). Winter has passed. Rise up and come away! Amen and Amen. - T. A. Lewis

People who value performance think that what they do for God determines how much He loves them and how much He should do for them. Driven by performance, they become legalistic and impatient with others who are not performance oriented. - Alice Smith
