Well, Sneakers got home about 1.5 hours after he said he would be home but that is not unusual so no big deal and he is home.

He got out of the truck, pet the dog, kissed me and immediately got on the mower so he is mowing right now. It is supposed to rain most of the weekend here and he wanted to get the mowing done before it rains and the grass really gets out of hand.

I had a pizza delivered for supper mainly because I have not felt good all day today. Nothing specific just not good and I think it has a lot to do with the temperature changes from overnight to daylight and a lot of mowing going on.

I'm not sure we have actual plans for the weekend outside of going to Old Threshers which is fine with me. It is an annual event that has old tractors, cars and steam trains on display and lots of food and other things to look at and purchase. I don't mind going at all and of course my favorite part is the food. There is a food pavilion in addition to all the other little areas and tents but my favorite is the food pavilion. We choose two places in the pavilion and get what we want then we split what we have. That way we both have a bit of each dish and it works for us quite well. If we end up not going at all that is fine with me as well, either way I'm good with whatever is decided.

After the food we will walk around the entire grounds and see what is new and what was there last year then we will come home take a shower and pretty much sleep the rest of the evening. It is a lot of walking, generally very hot and quite dusty and makes a good evening of doing nothing but relaxing.

I just went outside to check on everyone and the mowing continues but I took them a few pieces of pizza and breadsticks so they had a nice little food break and the mowing continues and I am back in the house. I would be out mowing as well however, we have one mower and Sneakers is on it, the landlord is using his tractor with the mowing attachment and Mrs. Landlord is on her mower.

When it gets dark and all the mowing is done I'm sure we will get showered and settled into the evening and relax as well as get some necessary financial topics dealt with. Nothing earth shattering but we are in transition at the moment to get all items away from Automatic Withdrawals and into being paid monthly with the credit card, then paying off the credit card each month. We are out of debt so the only creditors we have at the moment are necessities for us. Cell phone, XM Radio, vehicle insurance, electric, and the television, home phone, internet bundle and that bundle is about to change as well.

Transition can take a wee bit to get done since there is contact to everyone who has the automatic withdrawals and giving them different information and that can take some time but in the end it will be worth it. All monthly creditors paid on time each month on the credit card and the credit card paid on time each month in full. It is a winning situation for us all the way around.

Okay, the dining room table is now a dining room table again since I have taken all the paper off of it and put the paper in a crate to be dealt with one piece at a time over the weekend. Part of the financial topics Sneakers and I have to tend to. We are in the process of another transition which is digitizing all of our old records and what a task it has proven to be. We are hoping to get through all the banking records from 2005 to 2010 this weekend, a big task but well worth the time and effort involved to get it done.

For now though we are looking forward to a few days of relaxing in between tending to daily living issues that need to be dealt with. Not that they are immediate attention issues or earth shattering at all, just things that need to be done and we have set our goal for the end of this year to have all old files digitized and less paper hard copies cluttering our home.

We wish everyone a blessed life and a safe holiday weekend.

Ok, I read all your blogs! I love the way you write. I have notebooks, lots, with my thoughts a lot like yours. It helps me to get things on paper, clears my head some, and I always feel better after I've written. I have maybe 1 or 2 people I can actually express myself to. Sad, coming from a family with 5 brothers and sisters. Debt free? Everytime I get close to that, something comes up! But I survive. I cannot figure out quite who Sneakers is? Your husband? Must be. I hope you don't think I'm presumptious, or some kind of weirdo, I just think you sound like a kindred spirit in some ways. Best of luck to you and God Bless!

Sneakers is my husband of almost 6 years and thank you so much for writing and reading my blogs. Debt free is wonderful and we followed The Total Money Makeover program by Dave Ramsey. Not strictly or all the time, we are human and fell off the wagon more than once. Actually took a running flying leap off of the wagon a couple times as well. Keep writing and contact me anytime. May God give you many blessing as you journey through the timbers of your life.
