Rolling Along, Singing a Song, My Oh My 8)

DH is cutting the hole in the sunroom wall to install the doggy door, possible now because the contractor finished our back staircase to the yard Sunday. We emptied out the lower level of our split level over the weekend, DH taking the last trip to Goodwill on Saturday afternoon. Yesterday he started prepping the walls for re-painting, and selected the carpet.

Monday, we found a stacked washer/dryer to fit into our hall linen closet. I made room for the linens, laundry, and dog towels in the coat closet. Things are decidedly cozier around here, but we're adjusting to the smaller spaces well enough. Lord willing, we'll be able to put the For Rent ad in CraigsList by the end of the month. DH is hoping to rent a couple of Bastyr students who will spend all their time studying, or out playing on Lake WA.

I had my (telephone) Appeals Hearing yesterday to (hopefully) overturn the decision to deny my unemployment while I am in school. Without it, we go broke in twenty months, and though I know there are those that are much worse off, we worked very hard, and lived very frugally to earn that nest egg. Still, I did my best -- prayed to God that His Will be Done, and am ready to accept whatever the outcome of it.

Today has been chores for me. The first of four loads of laundry is in the wash, so I will be at this for awhile. DH promises a long Bigun walk this afternoon, if he can finish his work, and it doesn't rain. Both are pretty big IFs, considering the work he has to do, and the weather forecast.

Oh, there's the sun! That's a nice surprise given the number of dark clouds out there.... I guess it just goes to show: you "can't never tell."
