Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

And You Thought Poor Richard's Was Just An Almanac...

Posted 06-15-2012 at 07:32 AM by case44

.....that is well-known, but it also happens to be a restaurant in Plano, Texas. Funny how I go out to my favorite breakfast place in nearby Grapevine, TX, and see a patron wearing a Poor Richard's T-shirt. That's when I started having these thoughts.

While this post is not going to be a food review, it's an idea that I need to get back out there. That is, if I've been out there. You see, I'm trying to remember if I've ever eaten there. They've got a great following in the Plano and surrounding areas and it is as popular as heck, but I can't remember if I've actually gone there at some point. If I have, it's only one time. Poor Richard's is a cafe that specializes in homestyle cooking. It's also one of a number of places that's only open for breakfast and lunch only, but not dinner. Since this website is City-Data.com, let me just give you a link to this place for those of you who plan to visit Dallas anytime soon, or for those of you in D/FW-land who might be looking for something different that you haven't tried.

Poor Richard's Cafe - Plano

This will be just another in a long line of places that your Casester has to get around to sooner or later.
