How Lucky I Am

Just sitting here thinking...how really lucky I am. I have a wonderful husband, a wonderful home in a most beautiful place, all kinds of wildlife for neighbors. I'm thinking of the lake, just down out dirt road and how wonderful the fishing will be there this summer. Also how wonderful the woods look to me, no matter if they're covered in snow or different hues of green in the summer. And how wonderful the colors of the woods is in the autumn. How Lucky Can You Be? No, I don't always feel well and sometimes I get down on my knees in the mornings and thank God for getting me through the pain of night. But I'm so lucky! I've dodged the bullet of cancer and so far, my heart is holding on. I thank God for the days that I feel almost normal and my "Angy Pancreas" is somewhat happy. I thank God when I can walk with out help around our property. I'm just so happy that I can walk on my own. Thank God for giving joy in the words of good friends and my husband. I thank God that I have a cupboard full of food and I thank Him for teaching me how to cook! I have to thank my Grandmother for that too...Oh, thank God for Grandma! Here is my prayer for all of you:
It's almost time for me to go to sleep, Lord. But before I turn off the lights, I come to You in prayer offering my thanks. Yes, I am so grateful for this happy day.You gave me. I really enjoyed it. Many good things happened for me as the hours went by. and I realize even more how nice it is to be alive. Because today has been so wonderful, I feel very relaxed and peaceful as I get ready for bed. Please help me to have a restful night and when I wake up in the morning, May I be blessed with another happy day in my life. Thank you for loving me.... Goodnight, Dear Lord.
