Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Winning Souls For Jesus

Posted 03-21-2012 at 11:07 AM by Albert Finch

(Ask the following questions to an unsaved person you are seeking to lead to the Lord)
Do you have any kind of spiritual beliefs?
To you, who is Jesus Christ?
Do you believe there is a heaven and a hell?
If you died right now, where would you go? If heaven, why?
If what you believe were not true, would you want to know it?
(Have your man read the following out loud.

Note if they dont get it right, just ask them to read it again.)

Romans 3:23 23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

(What does this say to you?) You are looking for an answer like "everyone has sinned"

Romans 6:23 23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

(What does this say to you?) You are looking for an answer like "The result of sin is death, but God gives life through His Son". Point out that there is no "s" at the end of the word "sin". God says one sin will send me to hell, "death" often refers to hell in the bible. "Through" reminds us that becoming a Christian means you have to be in relationship with Jesus Christ, not in a religion.

John 3:3 3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

(Why did Jesus come to die?)
You are looking for an answer like "He came to die for sin".

John 14:6 6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

(What does this say to you?) You are looking for an answer like "There is no other way to be with God except through Jesus".

Romans 10:9-11 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

(What does this say to you?) You are looking for an answer like "If I believe God raised Jesus from the dead, I can be saved.

2 Corinthians 5:15 15And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

(What does this say to you?) You are looking for an answer like "We should live for Christ"

Revelation 3:20 20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

(What does this say to you?) You are looking for an answer like "If I ask Jesus to come into my life, he will!"
Ask the following:
Are you a sinner?
Do you want forgiveness of sins?
Do you believe Jesus died on the cross for you and rose again?
Are you willing to surrender your life to Jesus?
Are you ready to invite Jesus into your life and into your heart?
Now lead him in the Prayer of Salvation:

God, I confess that I have lived mostly for myself,
even the best parts of my life fall short of your glory.
I have sinned more times and in more ways than I
can count, there is nothing I can do to save myself
from the eternal death that I deserve. Thank you so
much for loving me enough to send Jesus, your only
son, to die on the cross for my sins. It should have
been me hanging there, but He took my place that I
could be freely forgiven. Please forgive all my sins,
Father. I do not want to live for myself anymore. For
the rest of my days I want to live for the Lord Jesus
Christ. And I want the presence of your Holy Spirit
in my life.

Amen
