Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.![Stick Out Tongue](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!
Regards,
case44

What's In A Title? Sometimes, You Leave It To Your Imagination
Posted 03-11-2012 at 12:41 PM by case44
Part of the fun of writing is not knowing what will happen next time I sit down. Challenges sometimes abound when you try to put words on a page, like, for example, finding the right thing for the right time. There are times while I'll have a post in progress and, occasionally, I would struggle with what my latest title would be in regards to what's being typed in.
That said, as I was driving around for some morning errands on my final Sunday off before returning to work this week (which, usually, is a Sunday-through-Thursday schedule), I kept thinking about rejected ideas for posts. That's right, things considered.......and dropped. Can you imagine what could have been written in this space had I the gall to do such? Slathered, maybe? Slobbered?
[Okay, Case, we're not going to get gross here now.] Sorry.
Ordinarily, when I write, I come up sharing an experience I've had, and then put the text together, followed by a title. That's usually the case with Case.
Ideas for posts could, perhaps, have consisted of these, and in the form of titles. Beyond that, you can figure it all out on your own.
1. Putting Off Procrastinating? I'll Do It Later
2. Wake Up To Some Sleepy Pillow Thoughts
3. A New Car Tune-up Can Be A Real Cartoon
4. Case's Nothing Post: A Total Mirage
5. The Good Scoop On Slime
6. Repeating The Same Things Can Be A Bit Repetitious
7. Picking Up The Pieces: What You Shouldn't Do With A Chainsaw
8. Getting To The Bottom Of Things: Understanding Your Own Rear End
9. Taking Your Date To A Wrestling Match: The Five Biggest No-Nos
10. Here's A Hooty Little Susie For Your Snuggiepants, Little Ditty-Boo
11. A Letter To The Soup Nazi And The Frustrating Wait
12. Baseball Is Falling Apart At The Seams
13. I Just Learned To Speak German Backwards
Yeah, there have been some ideas, though, thankfully, many of them never came to --- shall we say (???) ---- fruition.
Granted, I've had some doozies for you in the past because I write about life and my view of it, and my purpose is, of course, to entertain the reader who comes this way and visits. The thing about various ideas is that one can come at any particular time, no matter what I happen to be doing. Be assured of this: In life, something is going to happen, so watch it get written about. People all over the world will likely read about it real soon.
And that's just scary!![Shocked](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/shocked.gif)
