My my my, this forum does slightly entertain me at times. I have just been told to go F**K myself........hahahaha. I don't mind at all, it was the response I expected from a direct message I sent and I am always thrilled to be proven right; I love volunteers.
I read the words in the posts here "literally" and when one posts that they are wanting to name a Container Gardening Shop I take their words posted as they are. I do not assume that they "mean" they are going to open a "Container AND Gardening" shop since the word "AND" was not in the original post at all.
I got called out for this so I responded. Then I was vaguely insulted because a lot of my posts are in the "Relationship" area. What does one thing have to do with the other? Why is it that the assumption is made that I cannot post an idea or comprehend the words I have read because I respond to posts in the "Relationship" area.
This apparantly makes me narrow minded, rude, and completely unable to voice an opinion or write a response in any other area. Even though I am right and the word AND does not appear anywhere in the original post I am referring to. Also, it is clearly stated in said post the shop is to be a "Container Gardening" shop, nothing more, nothing less.
I'm sure in time the shop will expand however, that is in the future. The present idea I got from the original post is the shop is going to be limited to "Container Gardening" for flowers not vegetables. As stated clearly in the original post.
Anyway, back to topic. The one who told me to go F - myself knows me so well, that is obvious. Even though as far as I know this person is not a friend of mine in real life and they did not offer any helpful information to the original poster. They did choose to criticize what I had posted though. All because of the word "Container", who knew.
I agree a lot of assumptions are made in regards to answers that are posted on these forums however, I believe most who read the forums take the words literally that they read. The assumption part is the nature of issues being posted on a public forum and part of being human and having an opinion one is willing to put into words.
I make assumptions in regards to posts but it is not because I pretend to "know" someone in real life. It is because I take the words I read literally and respond according to the words that have been presented.
Is this wrong? Possibly but how else would one respond to written words on a forum if some sort of assumptions were not made?
I admit I am taken as rude, crass and blunt by a lot of people who read what I write. Honestly I don't care, as I have stated many times before this is a public forum, if you do not want answers do not ask questions. I do not sugar coat anything and if you have written with your own fingers on a forum that you have been treating someone, anyone in a way I do not think is acceptable I will state my opinion of the situation as you have presented it in your own words.
Don't like it? Don't post on a public forum. Want only answers you will like? Don't post on a public forum. Want to put me on ignore for Direct Messages? Knock your self out, it does not impact my real life, I will not lose sleep, I will not beg you not to ignore me but I will put you in my blog. Why you ask? That answer is simple, because I can. Will it annoy you? Probably. Do I care? Nope. Will I remove it? Nope. Will I lose sleep over it? Nope. Am I rude? I can be.
I can also be crude, heartless, emotionless, mean, downright bitchy and a terrible human to be around. Don't like it? Don't come around. I am as I am and I answer to no one on this earthly plain. I answer to God and God alone. Don't like that.........tough, I don't care about that either.
The bottom line here is criticism is acceptable whether you like the form it takes or not. Perhaps the words written could be softer but what is the point? Why waste time, get straight to the point, state your opinions and move forward.
So, who have you pissed off today? Was it for something written or spoken? Did you expect the reaction you got? Did you enjoy the reaction you got? Would you soften your words if you could go back and change them? Does any of this impact your real life? Do you seriously care? Are you going to have to seek therapy because of this?
If you answered yes to any of the above you may want to seriously think about why you "may" have the need to please others instead of being true to yourself.
In closing I will only say I wish you all everything you deserve in real life......
