Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Timing: Either It's Good Or It's Bad

All I was doing was waiting for a friend to call me back on the phone. We'd been playing phone tag for a couple or three calls, and she was to get back with me about some important matters. I was about to hop in the shower and was just getting some shaving cream on my face so I can get that stubble off of my face when suddenly..........
R-R-R-R-I-I-I-I-I-N-N-G-G
Yes, this had to have been quite a sight, just seeing me answer the phone with Edge shaving cream slathered on the left side of my face. So, I answered and told my lady friend to hold on a moment, and I proceeded to go to a nearby towel and remove said cream from my face. And then I would take that same towel on an appointment with a washing machine. First, though, I went back to my phone and had gotten through my conversation without any more hitches.
Sometimes, I just need to wait to do certain things, I guess, but you never really know when anyone you expect to call back would call back. So, in retrospect, the shaving cream worked wonders in one sense, for it prompted the awaited telephone call to your ol' pal Casester. It's likely a matter of timing, be it good or bad. Sure is a funny thing, however.
