Stormy Saturday

Sitting in my sunroom (blinds closed), the skylights still dark overhead, the winds rage outside. The weather forecast predicts rains, some thunder storms, and more winds -- gusting now around 17 mph.
Downstairs, DH (Ham radio operator N7RVD) is participating in a weekend contest -- one of four this year he "really, really" wants to do. If lightening comes near, he'll power off his station, so I hope for his sake that part of the forecast is wrong.
Bigun is curled here under my right elbow, waiting patiently for the fun part of the day when it gets lighter outside, the blinds go up, the laptop goes off, and I am dressed. Then he's got a fifty-fifty chance of enticing me into a game of "bring" or tug of war, or maybe even a walk.
He can always hope, and maybe some of the former, but the latter looks "iffy."
I've got an engagement with several crafty friends this afternoon at three. They are primarily quilters, but my crafting includes sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, etc, so I've taken a number of projects to past events. This one, however, I actually have a quilt block to take and show, and I am hoping to have it sewn into a seat cushion, if I can finish the back and sew it together, around the foam cushion. It looks like that is how I may be spending a good chunk of my time.
It will be nice to spend some energy on something that isn't considering our human plight, for a change.
