Friday, Sunshine, and Bigun

Who could ask for anything more? 8)
I finished reviewing our environmental aspects this morning -- well, actually what little I could find. As it turns out we have no significant aspects, and what we have in the way of insignificant ones either cannot be measured, or measuring would be cost more than the gain from the knowing. (It appears our Environmental Management System is going to be mostly just increasing employee awareness, and staying informed of any new developments.)
That meant that by 11:30 AM, I was grabbing my salad from the office 'frig and taking it home. 8)
When I got home, Bigun was out in the back yard. Did I mention it is a "screaming sunny, blue sky day"? We don't get many of these in winter, so I was thrilled to get the afternoon off. Big' apparently was just as happy about the sun, because he didn't even come inside when he heard me arrive. Not until after I ate my salad and said the "walk" word.
I drove him over to Bothell where we walked the Sammamish River Trail for about forty minutes. After we'd walked about half that, and were well away from traffic, I let him off-lead to sniff the grasses on the riverbank. That dog is just a joy to watch as he explores. It just makes my heart soar. It's the best anti-depressant I could take.
Now we're back home, and I expect that his nap here in the sunlight will give me time for some zzzzs of my own. It's a perfect weekend already, and it's only just begun.
Thank God for my little black dog. 8)
