Hang up the phone?
I guess a blog gives you a personal soapbox so to speak about whatever topic strikes your fancy!
THAT'S SCARY! LOL!
I was just thinking today about cellphones and driving ... or more precisely, using our cellphones while we drive. We found out Saturday that a friend of ours was just involved in a car accident. She and their younger son were bunged up a little, the car almost totaled but thankfully, no one seriously injured. The culprit-- a cell phone. The person who hit them was apparently distracted by a cell phone conversation and ran right through a red light and hit them.
Every day when I approach my workplace, I behold the tragic reminder of this kind of thing. There still remains a makeshift memorial of an 18 boy who died about one year ago right outside the bank where I work. He also was hit by a driver using a cellphone and ran through the red light. When I see it, I feel for him, for his parents...AND for the lady who ran the red light.
No...I'm NOT getting on my "high horse" about the issue. I talk on my cellphone and drive with the best of them!
But should I? Probably not.

KAYKAY, now I really feel guilty for texting while driving....
okay I dont drive and text, but only because Im not a "texter" but its crazy to see people texting while driving. I talk and drive all the time, I think im addicted to my cell phone..help!!!!!Posted 07-08-2008 at 12:54 PM by arguy1973 -
Good reminder kaykay. I don't use my cell much but 2 or 3 times tops I have used it while driving. I'm the distracted sort anyway, so on the whole I let it ring or pass it back to my son. Fiddling with music can be a risky thing too. I do like my music... anyway, good reminder. Lives are more important than cell conversations or music.

I agree that using a cell phone is dangerous while driving..I will answer mine if it rings, but don't us it to make any phone calls..I use the hands free phone on my OnStar if I have to make a call..

Hello !!!
The best way that we can do is to off our mobile phone whenever we drive, specially in a city proper, we cannot tell accident but we can prevent it. In the other hand people who use mobile phone while driving is worse than people who are drinking alcohol and driving.
much care
