Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Ten Million Readers - Thanks, Everyone!
This past week, I reached a milestone during my time here at City-Data. It reflects the fact that many people come on here from all walks of life and browse, read, and think through all the posts, as well as listen to people's YouTubes. You take the time to do stuff like that, and so, it's up to people like me to help make that experience worthwhile.
My posts on the forums have reached ten million views in a period of four-plus years that I've been a part of this. That's ten million readers. Sure, a few of them are probably the same people, but just think of how many people who've never made even one post that took time out of their lives to peek in and see what the excitement is about. Different people located all over the world, not just my homeland of America. They're taking time, their time, to read what we've put together. They're reading my stuff and what I've had to offer through the years as well as most recently. It's not about me; rather, it's about them. It's about you, readers. Your lives. Your time. Your passions. I'm glad that I was part of your experience. I am also looking forward to being a big part of your C-D experience right now and tomorrow and beyond. Different forums, different directions, different subjects, and different relationships of life. And you were part of that.
Let me personally thank you for coming on and taking a few seconds or a few hours to soak in the experience. I've made you laugh, cry, and think. A few of you, I've probably made mad. What I hope to do is put a smile on your face and fervently wish you a great experience and that the time you spend here is worthwhile, and that a difference is being made. I like having fun, so why not have some fun while getting away from the shackles of reality once in a while?
Believe me when I say that it is worth it. You're worth every second and every letter. Thank you, folks.
