I just noticed CD has a blog site. I have been blogging for a few years on other sites, and been on city data for a bit. I don't post a lot, I mostly read what others have to say.
For a first blog entry on city data, I don't know what to say really. I could just ramble about whatever, but that tends to get boring for the potential reader. As I am sure this has become boring already.
I will mention what I have been doing the past few months. Traveling. Driving only. Not for pleasure, except on the direction home to be with my wife and kids. I recently relocated, under the assumption my company would have a job for me in Colorado, but all that got changed around, and I am still working in Oregon. Its a bummer having to drive the 1200-1300 miles one way to my work location, and back home every 4-6 weeks. But what is worse I would suspect is the fact I sold the house, and moved the family for what has turned out to be no apparent reason. I am truly upset about it, but with the conditions of the economy, and the unemployment rates rising, I am grateful to have a job to provide for my family.

Have things gotten any better for you on this front? I can only imagine how difficult the travel must be on a person. Still, the pleasures of family are amazing are they not?
When my daughter and I stayed in Newport this last April, I was the sole driver....and found it to be a weary task at times....a blissful adventure at others. I cannot imagine doing what you are, but it is to be respected. For me, family comes first.
We will be returning next spring to a vacation rental in Newport to take a serious look at what we will be encountering with my relocation.
I thank you for your response to my inquiry, by the way. As I fit all the criteria you mentioned, I feel I shall prevail. My intuition is with me on this one.
