We'd love 20 acres, but realistically we can afford 10.
Soil test a plus, buildable, not boggy or wet, if it has a "cabin" that's even better, but not necessary.
We are hoping for no more than a 4hr drive from the RI border.
We have a Jeep 4X4, so dirt roads aren't a prob.
DIY is a hobby of ours, so hard work is not an issue.
Looking to build a 24 X 24, or 30 X 30, rustic home. We'd like to use as much reclaimed materials. Pallet wood for interior walls, composting toilet, (we have a wood stove from Freecycle), plan to do as much site work ourselves as possible, rain barrels for washing and watering, etc...
