Avoid Wedding Disapointments

Posted 12-18-2008 at 08:49 AM by Alafia

I am a Wedding Officiant and I would like to share a little advice to future Bride and Grooms to avoid wedding disappointments.

First and formost every Bride dreams of her wedding day! She plans for years her perfect wedding.

The engagement happens and the planning begins. The most expensive wedding gown, a huge wedding party, A very elegant Wedding Ceremony, the best flowers in town, a large formal reception with sitdown dinner, DJ, Photographer, the list goes on and on.

The Couples then signs up for the wedding venue websites to get quotes for their wedding. The disappointments now begin.

I contact them, they contact me back. I can't afford that kind of money. I am paying for the wedding myself, I have no money saved, I am using my income tax check.

Reality is setting in! But instead of realizing they can't afford all they want they expect everything for nothing or nearly nothing!

To avoid disappointments Brides and Grooms be realistic. If you want to buy a house and you can't afford a mansion on a small home budget you simply can't have the mansion. It is no different with your wedding.

So you buy the little house, fix it up to your liking and you have a happy little home.

Its the same with your wedding, have a wedding that you can afford. You will be happy planning it and you will have a beautiful wedding and will be happy. If you continue to dream, your dream will probably never be realized unless you come into some money somehow!

Remember this: Your wedding is one day. Your marrige is a lifetime. No matter how small your wedding is or how large... the end result is the same. You will say "I DO" your officiant will pronounce you husband and wife and you will be married by the end of the ceremony. That is what is important. Alafia Ceremonies - Home
