Hello everyone:

I am Michelle/aka Prestige and I am the founder of a theater company called Prestige Production LLC. At this point I am trying to promote my stage play called "A Mother's Scorn" in and out of the United States. This summer I presented my playwright to an audience of over three hundred spectators in Bloomfield, New Jersey and they loved it. My next stop is New York City in the Fall. The play is based on sexual abuse in the home of an affluent family in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. My objective is to remind people that rich families experience sexual abuse and other forms of family violence just like low income families but, due to their advantage of having power and wealth quite often it enables them to submerge their personal issues.

Meanwhile the media target low income families as bait for their early morning headline news when tragedy, and other disturbing problems arise in their communities. Indeed this play is extremely controversial with an enormous chunk of truth and reality that society pretends to ignore. "let me be clear when I say that this play focuses on class it has nothing to do with race". In every ethnic group stands many different class of people from a global perspective. I am reaching out to anyone who is willing to get on board with me to help promote my play. Also, I am reaching out to any one who would like to provide sponsorship, beacuse it is very costly to do productions. Lastly, I want to thank my wonderful cast for all their hard work, and phenomenal talent that they exhibit when we perform. Thank you.

Michelle

"Sexual abuse is a global epidemic lets shed some light on this issue by using the theater arena to tell the stories of children who cannot speak out against their abusers".

Posted 12-17-2008 at 09:15 PM by prestige

Hi guys:

Hope all is well! I am new to this blog, so let me give you a quick insight about myself. I am a play writer from Bloomfield, New Jersey. Presently, I am getting ready to produce my production "A Mother's Scorn" to the public. The play is based on sexual abuse in the home of an affluent family in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. Pretty much the objective of the play is to remind spectators that sexual abuse and other forms of family violence affect rich people on a daily basis. However, their personal issues are often covered up due to money and power. meanwhile, low-income neighborhoods are most often the target of the 6:00 PM news, and their business are exposed on televison for the sake of viewers entertainment. Overall, I hope to see you in my next show in New York City in the spring of 2009. A set venue and date will be disclosed to the public in the near future. also, you can check out my web site at www.ppsc.citymaker.com or www.myspace.com/prestige007 for more details about my cast and I including video footage of the play. Thanking you in advance.
