Take a trip into former years and recall what has been lost, what has been gained, some of it good, some of it not so good. History is for remembering and reminiscing, bringing a smile to the old, and a glimmer of light to the young on how things used to be.

Included are recipes, some passed down through generations, and some new, and some not so new.

Easy Sweet Potato Bake

You will need three regular-size cans of sweet potatoes, and 3 cups of mini-marshmallows, plus the spices.

Step One: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step Two: Pour the sweet potatoes into a bowl and mash them up with the following ingredients:

1/4 cup melted margarine
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

If you wish, use an electric beater (set on medium speed) until mixture is well blended.

Now you are almost finished.

Step Three: Spoon mixture into a 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Top with 3 cups of mini-marshmallows.

Step Four: Bake 15-20 minutes until heated through and marshmallows are lightly browned.
