Anniversary

I went to my Mom and Dad's house for thier 57th Wedding Anniversary!
My Brother and his kids were there, (except one, who was working), and I had my two kids with me. Wife refused to go, because her hearing aide went 'bust' last night, and she cant hear anything, unless someone calls her on that amplified phone she got from your Mom, Nancy... Its a good thing too, or, she wouldnt be able to hear anyone!!I
I took two tabs of pain meds, so I could 'go up the stairs' to the house. When they kicked in, I felt, 'warm'... OK, unusual, because Im not usually 'feeling' that, from the vicodin.
As the time progressed along though, I started sweating ROYALLLY!!
My Brother turned down the thermostat, and even opened the window, and I was still sweating, even to the point that my hair was dripping sweat!!!
My kids thought that it maybe from my heart meds, but, I told them that I hadnt taken any, before this, so, that nixed that idea.
Plus, my Brother and his kids left an hour or so ago, and Im still continueing to pour out the sweat, sheesh!
I finally ended up leaving, and coming home to a hot house...(only 75, but, its only 43 F. outside
.
It was good to see my Parents, since I havent seen them, since my Mother was in the Hospital, and, she didnt see me, cause she was in a coma for a full day.
OK, just took my heart meds, so, water pills will kick in about 15 minutes or so from now LOL.
A good time was had by all, watching the Steelers play some football, with everyone around for a bit, chatting up a storm and getting caught up on all things.
My oldest Brother started telling me about his 'aches and pains', and I finally told him, when YOU have to start taking pain meds, because you have a deterriorating spine, THEN, and only then, can you complain to me about serious pain!!
That shut him up, and we were all glad of it sheesh!
We took lots of pictures all around, for the memories, and, Im glad of it... I had to 'borrow' batteries, cause one of the kids had to have used the camera enough to drain the batteries, sheesh!! I get tired of them, my Daughter mainly, for swiping my batteries from my desk, for her camera, then, when she cant get anymore, she grabs my camera and uses those til the camera is almost dead, then, when I need it, I have to go and buy new batteries!! Drives me nuts, and my Wife nuts too!!
My Daughter's car, sounds like a TRUCK!!
it seems she went out her Girlfriends house, (in the booneys), and, must have jarred loose her tail pipe or put a hole in her muffler.
Thats it. The last straw. My Wife and I refuse to put another penny into that car. She constantly abuses it, (because its 'not' the one 'she' wanted, so, she must figure, if she can destroy this car, we will buy her another one...just aint gonna happen!!), to the point that we are both fed up, throwing good money after bad.
Wife finally told her, if this car doesnt 'work' anymore, then we will buy her a BUS PASS and she can go to school that way!!!
Plus, if she is in College and its too late, we will pick her up-->(THAT should really go good with her, cause she hates having anything to do with us, and being treated like a little girl, ROTFLOL, is really going to drive her nuts
).
We rented the Green Lantern last night from pay per view, and it was FANTASTIC!!
Now, I wished I had gone to see it on the 'big screen', but, for me, going to the bathroom and all that, is too much of a hassle in the Movie Theatre, same as the Drive-Ins. And, as my Wife tells me, if I have regrets, and tell her about it, she is liable to smack me, because I didnt act upon something when I had the chance to do it, so, I never tell her
. But, that doesnt mean I cant post it on here, for her to see it after Im gone LOL!!!
Dave and Brenda left for North Carolina today, with thier Granddaughter Nicole. (Last time I saw her, she was knee high to a grass hopper, as the saying goes, and now, she is almost as tall as my Wife!!). I asked Nicole if she remembers me, and she said she did, so, that warmed my heart, though, its been a few years now, and, they have had lots of goings on in thier life, (my kids dont remember a lot of thier childhood, so, I was comparing hers to them).
Wife didnt go to Church today, (cant hear a thing, with out her 'ears on', and, she is in her night gown now, at almost 6pm, so I know she isnt going anyplace else tonight.
Definitely going to take that hearing aide back to the place she bought it and get it looked at, because I was actually talking out loud at my Dads house, and they were wondering why I seemed to be 'screaming' sheeesh!! I told them, thats the way I have to talk to my Wife, since she cant hear, and, I dont even 'know' that Im doing that anymore... (Seemed to me, I was talking normal, now I know how those from Ashtabula felt, when thier Mom lost her hearing and they talked loud to her, it gets so you dont even recognise that you are at 'higher pitch' and it can really annoy people who arent used to hearing it).
My Mom, she has lost sooooo much weight, she is actually looking like my Aunt Lil, (In case your reading this Cathy!). Its almost to the point, I dont even recognise her!! WOW!! Bad enough, my Dad has lost so much weight, and is now 'hunched over' from old age, now, my Mother is not eating like old people usually do after a certain age.
OK, Wife just handed me some fresh Strawberry short cake, with whipped cream, and, Im going to dig into that. I will worry about not eating, when I get to be 'that age' LOL...
