The Chester Scarecrows of 2011 have arrived!

Posted 10-29-2011 at 09:46 AM by Valerie C

It's the time of changing seasons, when folks from all over come to visit New England to see the fall foliage display. While Mother Nature can be fickle in her timing, in her weather patterns, and in the intensity that she choses to display, the many towns in New Hampshire have decided to create their OWN Autumn traditions.

Chester, NH is a quaint and picturesque little town in the southern part of New Hampshire. Located less than 10 miles from our biggest and most populated city (Manchester), the town of Chester is dotted with fields, farmland and forests. Rolling hills, apple orchards, grazing horses, cows and sheep can be seen.

And in the months of September and October, you'll also see colorful displays of creativity. The Scarecrows of Chester have arrived! As an important fundraiser for the Chester Historical Society, this several-weeks long event brings the town together and brings visitors from elsewhere.

Come and visit, see what the town of Chester has to offer.
