Take a trip into former years and recall what has been lost, what has been gained, some of it good, some of it not so good. History is for remembering and reminiscing, bringing a smile to the old, and a glimmer of light to the young on how things used to be.

Included are recipes, some passed down through generations, and some new, and some not so new.

Posted 10-07-2011 at 05:52 PM by Yokie
Updated 11-01-2011 at 07:33 PM by Yokie (To say when to add the egg)

You will need:
2 Tablespoons flour
3 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1 Large beaten egg
2 Tablespoons milk
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
2 Tablespoons Chocolate Chips
1/8 Teaspoon vanilla extract

Put the flour, sugar, and cocoa in a large mug and mix thoroughly.

Next pour in the milk and oil, mix well. Then mix the beaten egg in.

Stir in the chocolate chips and vanilla extract.

Put the mug in the microwave and cook on high for two minutes.

The cake may rise over the top of the mug, but that's okay.

After microwaving, allow the cake to cool, then tip out onto a plate.

Drizzle with icing if desired or serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
