My Daughter was out and about last night, and, while my Wife was chatting with Kelly Wheeler, someone called in, but, since my Wife was on long distance, chose not to accept the call...
Little did we know what was going on!
I got a call after my Wife got off the phone, from my daughters Phone number... It was my Sister in law!!! Now, that scared me half to death, hearing her voice over my Daughters phone, because I 'knew' there was trouble in 'River City'!!
My Sister in law tells me that my Daughter just got 'beat up', and she was at the Police Station, filing a Police Report!!! Uh, can this get any worse???
(Im getting flashback of my Daughter telling me STRANGER DANGER!!!!).
OK, they get home, and my Daughter 'waves me off', because she doesnt want to talk about it... HUH??? (This is what I have to put up with, not knowing, what she does, gets into, or involved with)...
So, she goes into the kitchen with my Sister in Law, my Wife and my Son-->I let a reasonable time pass, before I go in, because I figure maybe she will 'open up' for them, if not me)...Then, I mossey on in there...
She picked up a friend of hers, (guy, whom she knew for awhile), and, his Uncle needed a ride, so, they coax her into giving him a ride too...
He is sitting in the back seat, making rude comments, and my Daughter has had enough and tells him to shut up, or get out.
Finally, they arrive and he gets out, punches her in the face, and ribs, breaks her inside mirrror and outside windshield!!!
So, she calls my Sister in law, (she knows, I would have come over there and started something for Dam Sure!!)... Sis takes her to the Court house to file charges, and, the Police tells her to come back, cause they have to do an 'investigation'... (That either means, he is well known by them, or, is related to one of them, or, they dont want to bother with a couple of girls!).
Now, what I find out, (My Son advises me to lock up my guns, incase my Daughter decides to 'do' something, and, if they are locked up, he figures 'I' wont do anything either for awhile)... She is changing her story!!
What she told the Police, is not what she told us, and, what she put on Facebook, is not what she told both of us!!! Now, what in the World am I to do?
She comes in, with her eye half closed, and complains that her ribs hurt... Today, 'no black eye', and, no brusing along the rib cage!! Now, if someone hits you hard enough in the eye, where its half closed, you would have had a good 'shiner'...
I simply dont 'trust' my Daughter to tell the Truth now... (I remember when she broke the winshield on my Son's Car, and it took awhile to get a straight answer to 'that one').
Now, she is going to file charges on this guy tonight, and, if she is lying, then she will be responsible for it, and could go to jail... (Im going to press this point out to her, because she isnt a little 'kid' anymore, and, what she says, she will be responsible for..so, if she lies, and puts someone in jail, and, it finds out she lied, she could go to jail also).
When you 'cry wolf' too many times, then your not going to be believable, and, my Daughter has done it enough to make me doubt it now...
My Wife 'knew' I was ready to go and 'take care of this' myself, and told me to stay on 'my side of the River'...but, when its my Daughter in danger, all bets are off... But, Im not going off 'half-cocked', and threaten someone, or do harm to someone else, if I cant verify what is supposively apparent, but, never has really shown itself for my satisfaction...
I just am not sure, and cant take any action, just yet. If it turns out its true, well, I wont feel bad about 'doing something', since the guy has to be about my age, and, beating up on a little girl, especially MY GIRL... Naw, it aint gonna fly...
I will wait and see what happens. If nothing 'does' happen, because he is a town drunk, and gets in trouble all the time and they dont want to bother with him, then I will have to definetely take action of my own, regardless of what my family says..
In the old days, we would get a couple of guys together and 'take this sucker out', now, we cant 'do' that, so, I will do what I can
