Wow it's cold!

And I really really like it.

For soo long I have languished in the hot humidity of the southern states, and the bitter taste of 'mefirsts' demanding that I and everyone else owed them a living. Out here the air is fresh and sweet, undisturbed by the thousands of cars flitting madly about on their endless little errands. The sound at night of the coyotes on the hills, or the evening sound of another wedge of geese crying overhead... all is silence, breathable and clean, fresh and new.

The snow crunches underfoot or catches in my hair. There's no bugs here, except lightly and briefly, in the summer, to do the same. There's no development, no massive hysterical shopping crowds... all is peace and quiet and warm smiles and waves.

The deer jerky turned out great, and DH is making burritos and tacos from the ground venison. Less fat and more flavor.

Ahhhh. What could be more perfect than a nice warm house in the evening, food covering the stove, and Christmas lights glinting off of clean, crisp snow?
