Its time to fight for for our rights. It is time to stand up to all the haters and bigots. Let gay issues be known throughout the city. The passage of prop 8 in California has sparked a new beginning in Gay Activism across the nation. Over 200 Omahans protested for gay rights on Nov 15, 2008 at the Memorial Bridge near UNO. We will have more protests. We need more people to participate. Omaha's Gay Pride 2008, had over 8000 people. There is no reason that we cannot get 8000 people again to protest for our rights. The State of Nebraska has one of the harshest anti-gay marriage laws in the nation. It bans gay marriage, gay civil unions and gay domestic partnerships. Get out and fight for your rights!
