This blog is basically to chart my progress in trying to lose weight...

This is a Record of my daily events including my family when appropriate for my other family members to see if they choose to.

This is my legacy, for my family to read after I am dead and burried. So, any thing on here is meant for them only and if it offends anyone, my apologies, but, its not meant for you and them

Chow for now...

May the LORD Bless all who see this.

I wish you well...

Mom

Posted 09-02-2011 at 09:44 PM by woodworkingmenace

I got a phone call this afternoon...

My Brother, Lance called, and told me to get to the Hospital...

They were taking my Mom there by ambulance!!

I had my Son take me to the Hospital, as I had to take extra meds, (already took one, because I was in a lot of pain), so I could walk with out a lot of pain, and didnt want to drive under the influence of pain medication.

What I got was...
My Mom held out both of her hands, and started to mumble, and had both of her feet out, (she was sitting down in her easy chair, because she has had a migraine headache all day today)...

Then, she lowered her head, and arms and legs, and was unconcious...

My Dad and Brother tried to rouse her, but, to no avail, and the ambulance was called.

When I got there, both of my Brothers and my Brothers family was there also.
(My Wife went to get my Daughter's Cousin from up River, and was completely unaware of what was even going on!).
My Daughter and her Cousin came later and sat with all of us in the waiting room.

So, we wait in the emergency room waiting room and while in there, my Dadr and Brother were in with my Mom.. She started having seizures, a massive one, my older Brother related to me...(He thought she was going to die, right then and there!).

He started telling me about his 'dog' that was having seizures before he died.. I told him, not to compare our Mother to his dam dog, sheesh!! The dense twit didnt get the message and kept telling me how the dog died, and if there is anything I cant stand, is an intolerable bore... He fits the cake, because my Wife cant stand him either LOL.

I found out that my oldest Brother never called my Dad from Michigan!! I wasnt happy about that one, because thats the second time he told me he would, and never even bothered to do that.. a simple phone call.,..

When we left, my Mom was still unconcious, but, she would 'move', especially when my Dad put his hand on her shoulder (something she must hate for people to do, because she tried to shrug him off, but, couldnt wake up, even doing that).

The Nurse asked us what was to be done, and I told her, everything thats possible to keep her alive, and my Dad added, that if she was going to live on 'machines' for the rest of her life, then what ever measures they were doing, was to be halted, because she never wanted to live in that manner.
(That much I know, also, because she has told each of us that, many times).

I know, if she dies, then my Dad wont last much longer, because they have been married for 57 years, and its the only thing that keeps my Dad going, is, that his Wife needs him. (Just like I am doing, if my Wife dies on me, I wouldnt want to live either!), so, at 85 and in poor health, if she goes, then it wont be too much longer before he gives up and dies also.

He almost lost it, when he realized my Mom was in that bad of shape, and, when we got ready to leave, my younger Brother was almost to the point of losing it also! I told him to keep it together, so that he could take my Brother's kids home, and when he gets home, he will have to keep my Dad together, and focused, so he doesnt fall apart and go down hill fast with his health.

I will see what goes on tomorrow, but, I sure hope and dread, if I get a phone call tonight, because it wont be good news for any of us...

Thats all for now.

I wish you well...
